A Day at the Childrens Museum

So today we got up and left the house like we'd usually do every other Thursday, but I guess it was only the first and the third Thursdays of every month. Whoops. But since we were out we went to Savers- and I found the book...
Divergent!!
For those of you who don't know, my mom left for a week (Tuesday 21- Tuesday 28) and that Friday we had a neighbor come over and do a movie night. She brought over Divergent and this was the first time any of us had watched the movie. I fell in love with the movie and then wanted to read the book. So I got it for $2.99 at Savers :D
SO COOL!

Anyways, we left Saver after only getting three books (Divergent, The first Percy Jackson book, and The first Harry Potter book) and we decided to go to the Children's Museum for the first time. And because we won a year long membership about a year ago and thought we'd go- since we had it. ;-)
But on the bright side, the membership didn't start until we used it first! So it was okay. ;-)

Well, on the down side, we almost lost Levi. Yep, I know, we are horrible.
So what happened was we were in one of the rooms, and we do shifts with the boys (I had Nathaniel at the time), and so I thought one of my sisters had Levi, the she (not saying who) thought Levi was with my mom. But he wasn't because she thought he was with my sister.
About ten minutes later I passed Nathaniel over to my mom so he can eat and my mom told me to round everyone up so we can go to the next room and when I went to get Levi and my sister, my sister didn't have him.
And the funny thing is, earlier we were listening in on two staff members talk about a missing child and was thanking God he was with one of us.
BUT HE WAS THE MISSING CHILD!
So we went up two flights of stairs and found him driving a staff member in a play car in the Clifford room. So cute. And SO glad we found him. But it was so not funny at the time.
Well, that was todays crazy adventure, now I have to go spend time with the family. ;-) With NaNo coming up I'm afraid I will be on the computer 24/7 :-/

A New Diet

Most of you know of my huge headache problem, but not many know of my solution (hopefully a solution anyways). I recently went to a natural path doctor and she gave me a diet to go on. She thinks my headaches are caused by dairy, chocolate, sugar, nuts, etc. It's a pretty long list. But hey, if the headaches go away I'm good. ;-) (FYI: I only have to be off this food for two weeks.)
Well, another problem she discovered is candida. And a portion of the foods I can't have are because of this. When I was a baby my parents gave me antibiotics to help with the ear infections I had and that caused the yeast (everyone has yeast in they're stomach) to grow and now I need to fix it. It's not a big deal at all. It will only take a few weeks to shrink and I will be fine. ;-)
But because I can't have dairy, goat milk, or almond milk, I have to have Rice Milk. I never liked milk to begin with so I don't taste a huge difference. Plus I only use this for my smoothies. ;-)
Unfortunately, ice cream was a hard one for me. Today I served out Neapolitan ice cream to everyone and I was stuck with this nastyness, and it taste awful! Well, maybe not that bad but I wasn't interested in having ice cream anymore.

I'll keep you posted on this new diet, but I have to go take the boys out of the bath now. ;-)
God Bless!

Eat to live, not live to eat.

A New Way to Play

I just got back from my Lit Club, and while the memory is still fresh I wanted to share with everyone how we played the game Capture the Flag. I've never really played the real game of this before so I don't know how it really goes, but I guess that just makes it easier for me to remember how to play the new way that a friend of mine made up. So the book we had to read was The Art of War by Sun Tzu and because it didn't really have characters or anything to talk about we played a game instead and we changed the rules to be more like the book.

So at my friends house he had a big backyard and tons of woods so it was easy to hide the flag. We had eleven people and because the number was odd, we did something that might surprise you. We had 7 people on one side and 4 on the other. But get this, one of the people on the big teams side was a converted spy (which Sun Tzu said and I quote, "Having CONVERTED SPIES, getting hold of the enemy's spies and using them for our own purposes"). So the team with the least amount of people have a bigger advantage and it's okay now that the numbers are uneven 6 to 5.
NOTE: The spy reveals himself whenever he wants to by showing his card to the team with the least players.
So where the house was, that was no-mans-land. You can't get tagged in that area unless someone else is holding somebodies hand and they tag you. You go to jail (both teams share a jail). But if someone was holding somebodies hand they could tag, but not get tagged unless someone with a party of 3 tags you. The one person who was tagged then goes to jail while the other one who wasn't tagged is still free.
Run for your freedom my friend!
So before we began we were handed a card and told not to show anyone. The Kings cards mean they are the General of that team, and the Ace card means you are the spy.
NOTE: There is only one Ace card and two Kings cards in the deck of eleven (or however many people you are playing with)
The team with the least amount of players picks a side. The team with the most players (it would still be 7 until after the flag is hidden and when the Spy chooses to reveal himself) has the General hide the flag. No one can know where he hid the flag. Whereas the team with only 4 players can all know where the flag was hidden (which the General still has the privilege to hide it).
We have three minutes to hide it and start the game. We have two or more people at the front of the woods tagging whoever comes by and tries to get our flag while the rest is trying to find the enemies flag. The game ends when one of the two teams finds the opponents flag.

Ready, Set, Play! And have fun!<3

If you have any questions about the game please leave a comment.
God Bless!

A Long Overdue Update of my Life

After several months of school and co-ops, I have distinctly been slacking in my posting. Yet for some reason I tell everyone in the 3D world that I post quite often on here.
Lies.
I am sorry that I've lied to people. Though I wish it were true.
Maybe that's why I tell people, in hopes that it may someday be true.
Week One with braces
For a little update though, I recently watched Mom's Night Out- which by the way relates to my family 100%
Week Two with braces
My teeth are getting straight really fast, and the orthodontist says that they will probably put chains on it next time I go there. :-) (The chains make it so all the gaps close)
 Week Three with braces
My mom left for Arizona today (10-21-14) for a week vacation from, well, us ;-)
Funny thing actually, we watched moms night out two nights before she left! Ha! This ought' to be good ;-)
Week Four with braces
As I was writing the date in the column above I noticed it's my parents anniversary today...
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD
Yeah, I don't think they remembered either.
A picture of Lucie, Katelyn, and I when Lucie was here

We joined three homeschool co-ops (sadly not homeschool groups where we just hang out, like in AZ), HERO, Northern Lights, and PriZim. I'm having troubles at Northern lights though because the kids are not very friendly. None the less there aren't any my age. That is every other Thursday (the other Thursdays we do a Lit Club with them). At HERO I knew twins who went there and they have helped me meet people. Also I am a writer in the Scribbler Newspaper, which the first one came out today. I'm happy about that. I posted a recipe in that one (I posted the Homemade Caramel Frappuccino which you can find the recipe here). That is every Tuesday for Sara and I. And lastly PriZim. I have a couple of friends in this one, one who's mom just had a baby boy...  :-) (Sorry I am unable to get of photo of him right now)
She is really sweet. Funny thing is they named there new baby Nathaniel... We have a Nathaniel too! ;-) That group meets once a month on Friday.
So, yes. I am very busy now but I will try to post here often. You've been very patient with me. Thank you for reading! God Bless!
