A Reason For Everything

I once heard a story about a girl, she had a younger sister and a mother. Her mom did not like her, but she liked her younger sister. She sent the girl to the orphanage, but not the child's younger sister. She did not feel loved. Her mother did not love her. Her sister did not love her. And no one at the orphanage loved her. For many years she was at the orphanage, but one day a pastor came to talk to the kids there. He talked to them about God, and gave them all a Bible. The girl then realized there was someone who loved her. God. She was forgiven, and from that day forward she prayed. She prayed for someone to adopt her, but no one did. Short years after that she was eighteen and was told she can leave the orphanage. She got a job as a missionary. And met people who soon became her friends. She eventually got married and adopted kids.

Everything in life has a reason. You may not know it now, but soon God will show His reasons.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

New Computer // It's Here!

Yep, that's right! My computer came about an hour in a half ago, so I'm still figuring it out, but so far I love it. Though the mouse bothers me but it's nothing that a plug-in mouse can't fix, right? :-) But other than that (and a few other things I have to get used to) I love it! :-)

NEW COMPUTER! And other exciting news!

Guess what! I'm getting a new computer!! Wahoo!! :-) I've been waiting a little over a year to get a new computer (or to get my old one fixed), so I'm super excited! But that's not the only exciting thing that's going on, I got a job! Well, sort of. I got hired by two neighbors for a babysitting job (three dollars per hour/per child). I can't wait to get started (and meet there kids). :-) The one family has one boy who is 2.5 years old, and the other has three kids; 10girl-8ish girl-2ish boy. I'M SOOO HAPPY! :-)

Modesty: My Answers

If I wore what I'm wearing when I met Jesus, how would I feel about that? That is the question I need to be asking myself everyday when I get dressed. 

I am not bad with modesty. I am really good with it. But when it comes to summer time, I can go a little wayward. And I know it.

But this year is going to be different. I've researched modesty a dozen times and I finally came up with my answer.

If I wear what I'm wearing when I meet Jesus, how would I feel?

 But I {still} don't want to wear a skirt all of the time, but I do want to dress modestly. So what am I going to do?

I can still dress modestly without a skirt. {Yes!}

 

Vacation Starts... Next Week

We will be going to Arizona for three weeks, so I will not be posting much here. Really, I won't be posting anywhere except the Living Water blog. So I'll apologize now for not posting while I'm away.

Modesty Questions: Need Answers

I have questions about modest and I will be asking these following questions, hoping for an answer.

  I am a girl who is clueless on what modesty is. Well, I know a lot about modesty but I want to know more (which is more accurate than being clueless).  A lot of girls think that wearing long skirts is modest. I agree, but I don't like to wear skirts. And I don't like the look of really high shirts either. So what do I do?

Okay, I'm making myself sound weird. I like wearing skirts, but I don't like feeling naked underneath it. And I like t-shirts, which also is high. But that's not my point.
  Are jeans modest? Is a normal long sleeve shirt modest?

But it doesn't yell modesty, does it? But is yelling "I'm a modest girl" really matter?
It's not like I walk around in shorts and spaghetti straps all day everyday (I won't show a picture of that). So I'm fine, right?

But I'll be going to Arizona in a few days, and I am not wearing that (I might die of a heat stroke) so what do I do then? I read a post about shorts last summer, and now I have a limit for how short my shorts go, but what about my shirt? I need to wear something that won't make me hot (because it's a hot state), but it can't be immodest. (And I can't wear anything that touches my armpits because I have a seriously bad case of armpit-sweating. I even sweat when it's 4 degrees outside. That's weird!) See what I mean? I'm in deep yogurt, and I don't really know how to swim in yogurt, so I might drown in my favorite snack... that would be a nightmare-come-true. But I also want to wear a sundress one or two days while we're there. But is there such thing as a modest sundress? Please help!

Funny//Sat

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday! And Happy Birthday Katie! I have a very funny story to tell you (Hint: the title of this post), basically it's what my brother told me this morning.
 So I go in my moms room, where my brothers sleep, both Carter and Levi are awake at this point. I go to take Levi out and Carter tells me, "Amy, Levi peed in my pant last night."
 HAHAHA! Okay, let me finish.
 So that's like the craziest thing I have ever heard, so I began to correct him when I realize I better here the whole story first. "Uh, Carter, I'm not sure tha... Uh, I mean, how did he manage that?"
 "He just peed on my pants and take my other clean pants off and put these ones on."
He is officially crazy. Levi is in a Levi-proof-crib{haha Levi}... so he can't get out on his own.
So I just let that be as funny as it was, and continued to take Levi out. I brought him to the living room and finished Levi proofing the kitchen. No sooner did Carter yell, "Amy! He peed on my underwear too!"
HAHAHA! Yeah, I know. MY BROTHER IS AWESOME!!
